The Houston Flying Disc Society and the Professional Disc Golf Association are proud to bring The PDGA National Tour to Houston! The 11th Texas State Disc Golf Championships joins the PDGA’s National Tour at the Tom Bass Disc Golf complex in Houston, Texas on April 22-23, 2006. A select field of (216) professional and amateur disc golf competitors, male and female will compete for over US$10,000 in cash and prizes!

Defending Texas State Champ, Coda Hatfield (TX States ‘05) may be looking to defend his title against a world class field. However, a few other  former Texas States winners could have something to say, including defending 2-time World Champion Barry Schultz (TX States ’99), and 11 time World Champ Ken Climo (TX States ‘96 and Houston’s ‘02 Pro Worlds Champ). Of course, the current 2005 World Champ Nate Doss and the reigning 2005 US Open and National Tour Champion Dave Feldberg may come looking for their first Texas States victory!

On the women’s side, the Texas State defending champion and 2-time reigning World Champ Des Reading (TX States ‘02, ‘05) may find herself in a battle with 3-time World Champ  and former dominator of Texas States Juliana Korver (TX States ‘97, ‘98, ‘99, ‘00), with Oklahoman Courtney Peavey and Californian Carrie “Burl” Berlogar hot on their heels.
